If I had to create a bumper sticker that modeled my philosophy for life, it would be "Into the Wild". As I've traveled through life this one bumper sticker has stuck to me the most. I am one of these kids that have lived a lot of my life in the wilderness, either through Boy Scouts or just any random adventure that I may be on. It expresses my joy of leaving everything so familiar and going to something that is new and even possibly dangerous. This sticker on the other hand is not like others that represent some political statement/stance or that they are proud of their child for being successful in kindergarten; it is just a statement representing the ideal of going somewhere and not knowing what to expect.
My life and carrier is surrounded by this idea. To go out into the wild and explore, but more directly to study the life of wolves; one of the most majestic creatures know to man if in fear, facination, or of their complexity. If I could follow one thing it would be these wolves and the sense of leaving all that is troubling about this world and focus on survial on a day to day bases.
This is me, no changing that.
The kindergarten part is funny, and maybe i should try going out into the wilderness even though i hate bugs and tall itchy grass..lol
ReplyDeleteI remeber hearing from your mom that you were in boy scouts.. lol i love the wild... when i don't have to be out in it. lol im just not a fan of spiders, or long grass, like Fatima said. lol
ReplyDeletebut its a good philosophy. =)
I agree with everyone else. I hate bugs and grass and getting itchy but sometimes being outdoors could be fun.
ReplyDeleteI like this alot. I think everyone at least once in their live should go out of their normal comfort zone and see what else is out there to experience. I love to travel and see the world in different perspectives
ReplyDeleteI like the wilderness. It's not quiet the same but at my old house we had a tiny little peice of woods but there were an amazing amount of animals and I loved to just sit out there. I can't do that anymore but I wish I could.
ReplyDeletethe great outdoors is a perfect way to relieve stress. It is always good to have time to get away from the busy life.
ReplyDeleteGreat outdoors indeed, where have you traveled then? Into the Wild reminds me of my ventures in Australia and seeing the wild animals, especially the kangaroos and bats, crocodiles too. I love adventure and find the best peace of mind either in the woods or near the ocean, but definitely "In the Wild."
ReplyDeleteGreat to be in the wild, cause you get to decide yourself where to go and what to do. Pretty much having control! and not knowing what to expect could sometimes be exciting!

ReplyDeleteIt's important to never lose our appreciation and respect for the natural world. As it's also important to never lose our sense of curiosity, and interest throughout life. It's what keeps us young at heart. Stepping outside of our comfort zone or "coloring outside the lines" is what makes like interesting!
ReplyDeleteI love the great outdoors myself. Camping, kayaking, and hiking are all great ways to get away from it all. I think your career plan is fascinating. It is admirable to me that you would dedicate your life to helping others understand the majesty of the creatures that roam this planet. Into the Wild is a great movie you should check out, an amazing bumper sticker, and and even better life philosophy.
